Lufton Church is at present working on our Safeguarding Policy. We are determined that every member of our congregation, and every visitor to our church should feel welcomed, valued, and nurtured, that their voice will be heard and that their contribution is essential to the life and well-being of the whole congregation. Whatever our gifts, our background, or the frailties that we may have, we are all important to God and to each other. Without very single member's contribution, our worship at Lufton is incomplete.
Safeguarding is the responsibility of every single member of our congregation. If you have any cause for concern, any worries at all, however vague, then please make sure you have informed someone of your concern. This is not a breach of Confidentiality, but must be regarded as a loving response to the command that we should 'love one another, even as I have loved you.'
Until the appointment of a new Safeguarding Officer for the Parish, please in the first instance contact either the Churchwardens, (contact details on the home page of this website) or else the Diocesan Safeguarding Officer, Ben Goodhind, email ben.goodhind@bathwells.anglican.org
telephone 01749 588917
In emergency, if you are concerned that there is an immediate danger of harm,
please contact the Police, 999.
If you know of someone, or you yourself have been a victim of abuse, you may find this website helpful:

Please do not hesitate if you have any worries. Please do not feel that you may be making a fuss over nothing, or that someone else may surely have noticed something and done something about it.
Safeguarding is the responsibility of us all.
